  2. The fine print says "with trial membership," so I presume it was a book club, with an agreement to buy a minimum number of books at regular prices each year.

    1966 may have been the peak of the spy-fi boom in movies and TV. It included the first Flint movie and the first two Matt Helm movies. Ironically, there was no new Bond movie that year. But Thunderball may have still been running, and maybe some of the earlier ones were re-released that year.
